Leading Cloud-Native/Agnostic Provider - Customer Case Study

Leading Cloud-Native/Agnostic Provider, a world-leading provider of cloud-native software for fixed, mobile, and unified communications services, partnered with one of Europe’s largest service providers to trial Wireless Wireline Convergence (WWC). To support this 5G / IoT initiative, the company needed a 5G Access Gateway Function (AGF) that could deliver AAA subscriber services along with traffic shaping and policing for fixed network and 5G residential gateways. Luxoft was engaged to help build this capability.

Luxoft developed the AGF solution from scratch as a cloud-native, fully containerized microservices platform, integrating it with the 5G core and supporting CI/CD, cloud infrastructure, testing, and deployment. The result was a successful trial of the world’s first 5G WWC AGF standard, demonstrating seamless fixed and 5G core integration, simpler subscriber and service management, and always-on converged connectivity that helps reduce CAPEX and OPEX.
