Global Energy Company, a global energy business focused on high-reliability electricity transmission and distribution, needed help addressing rising SCADA-related defects as its customer base expanded and equipment from many vendors with different industrial protocols entered the field. The company asked Luxoft to develop a SCADA simulator and support 23 integration protocols, including Modbus, DNP3, IEC60870-5-101/104, EWISP, EWISP+, and OPC, to enable smoother integration with customer equipment.

Luxoft designed and tested the SCADA solution end to end, including communication protocols, a real-time database, advanced GUI tools, real-time data processing, historical data access, and DMS integration. Luxoft also provided manual and automated testing for protocols such as DNP3, IEC101, and IEC104. The result was improved SCADA stability and efficiency, faster outage resolution, and increased product revenue and time to market for Global Energy Company thanks to broader protocol support.
