Leading Pharmaceutical Manufacturer partnered with Luxoft to address a costly, manual dissolution-testing process. To meet strict FDA requirements, lab staff were reviewing low-quality video footage of medicine dissolution by hand, creating slow turnaround times, high labor costs, and a greater risk of human error.

Luxoft built a proof-of-concept AI and computer vision solution for two research labs that optimized camera settings and automatically detected events and abnormalities in dissolution videos. The system delivered alerts and analytics through a user-friendly dashboard, helping reduce manual analysis, improve accuracy, speed up testing and time-to-market, and make it easier to scale with new smart cameras.
