A Luxoft Case Study
Luxoft worked with 30 G-SIBs Bank, a top 30 global systemically important bank, that was under extreme pressure to improve data quality and avoid a credit withholding adjustment that could have had a billion-dollar impact on financial results. The bank’s legacy data warehouse approach was too slow to handle ingesting, analyzing, and managing data amid ongoing regulatory change, leading to poor data quality, high operational costs, and reduced confidence with regulators.
Luxoft facilitated a cross-functional workshop to define the next-generation architecture and data analysis requirements, then prototyped a platform to test the design and evaluate emerging technologies for governing data on a big data platform. The company is now implementing a full pilot and migrating initial analytic processes, resulting in faster responses to regulatory changes, lower capital requirements, a highly scalable governance and data quality architecture, and faster insights for regulators and customer/product analytics.
