Kiang Malingue refreshes its identity and website over 2022–24 with Lundgren+Lindqvist

Kiang Malingue, a contemporary art gallery, faced the challenge of updating its visual identity and website to reflect a new name and a major evolution in its artistic program. The gallery partnered with the design studio Lundgren+Lindqvist, with whom they had a long-standing relationship, to undertake this comprehensive rebranding and digital project.

Lundgren+Lindqvist developed a new, modular typographic system and a generous color palette to create a highly flexible and non-hierarchical visual identity. This was extended to a new website that maintained a strict grid layout in both English and Traditional Chinese while ensuring robust technical performance, including in regions with firewalls. The solution allowed Kiang Malingue to retain a subtle echo of its previous branding while achieving a clear and recognizable new voice, solidifying its position as a leading venue for contemporary art.
