Bukowskis redesigns digital platform with Lundgren+Lindqvist, showcasing nearly 600,000 auction objects

Bukowskis, a historic Nordic auction house, faced the challenge of redesigning its digital platform to better reflect its global ambitions. Although the site performed well technically, its front end no longer aligned with the company's desired positioning among the world's leading auction houses. They appointed the design studio Lundgren+Lindqvist to lead this comprehensive redesign, with a key challenge being to address a highly diverse audience of both older, conservative sellers and younger, progressive online bidders.

Lundgren+Lindqvist delivered a complete front-end prototype and a comprehensive asset library, including a bespoke icon set. The solution's design, such as its dual typographic system, created a dialogue between heritage and contemporaneity to resonate with both audience groups. The redesigned platform, which hosts thousands of objects and streams live auctions, was implemented in-house by Bukowskis' own team and continues to attract millions of visits per month with a steadily growing share of international bidders.
