@RISK Models $50B Acquisition Project by the US Government

The U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) faced the complex challenge of managing its $50B Enterprise Infrastructure Solutions acquisition project on time and on budget. To understand the quantitative risk of their decisions impacting cost and schedule, GSA turned to Lumivero and its @RISK software for project simulation.

Using @RISK to perform Monte Carlo simulations, Lumivero’s solution enabled GSA executives to visualize the impact of decisions in real-time and test alternative mitigation strategies. As a result, Lumivero helped GSA complete the project on schedule and on budget, awarding 10 contracts and enabling other agencies to stage their resources for significant taxpayer savings.
