Lander & Rogers was engaged by a client operating across 15 retail businesses in Australia and New Zealand to consolidate almost 70 varied employment contract templates down to six standardised agreements. Facing a time‑consuming, manual clause-by-clause comparison, the firm turned to Luminance and implemented Luminance’s AI platform (building on prior use for due diligence) to speed and simplify the consolidation work.

Using Luminance’s supervised and unsupervised machine‑learning capabilities, the platform read the full document set, surfaced and labelled key clauses, identified variations and similarities, exported custom reports and flagged model clauses for drafting. As a result Lander & Rogers consolidated 70 contracts into six, cut review time by 30 hours (with billable-time savings passed to the client), increased confidence that no clauses were missed, and is exploring further use of Luminance across other practice areas.
