The Children’s Society, a children’s charity, was facing significant financial pressure, organisational change, and tensions within its senior leadership team as it worked to deliver its Destination 2030 vision. It needed to stabilise its operating base, implement a new strategy, and ensure its leaders had the right competencies and values to guide the organisation forward. Lumina Learning was brought in, alongside Collaborate Business Solutions, using tools including Lumina Select and Lumina Spark.

Lumina Learning helped The Children’s Society benchmark and define seven leadership competencies, then supported an online development programme that built self-awareness, confidence, and team understanding through Lumina Spark, Long Life Lumina tools, the Lumina mat, Team mandala, Spark Coach, and Journey to Composure. The result was a stronger senior leadership team with a common language, improved teamwork, higher engagement and morale, and better self-awareness. The Children’s Society also successfully delivered organisational change, introduced a new operating model, and implemented a strategic delivery plan with five objectives.
