A Lumina Learning Case Study
LIXIL Corporation, a global housing and building materials company in Japan with more than 80,000 employees worldwide, wanted to improve its global competitiveness by shifting to a more entrepreneurial, open, and collaborative culture. Under CEO Kinya Seto, the company sought better communication, greater risk-taking, more cross-functional teamwork, and stronger connections across silos. Lumina Learning supported this challenge with team-building, leadership, and culture-change work using Lumina Spark and Lumina Leader.
Lumina Learning delivered workshops and activities focused on self-awareness, team values, shared language, role-plays, feedforward, and team goal-setting across nine departments and more than 180 participants. The result was stronger communication, deeper understanding of different work styles, improved rapport between teams and managers, and better appreciation of colleagues’ diverse input and ideas. Participants also reported practical changes, such as creating more one-to-one communication opportunities and building trust so people could share ideas more openly.
