Learning to speed read and build rapport at UniPartners

UniPartners, a non-profit academic consultancy run by students across ten university cities in the Netherlands, needed to improve cooperation within and between its boards and help consultants build rapport quickly with potential clients. The challenge was to get student consultants better at “speed reading” clients so they could win and deliver more consultancy engagements. Lumina Learning supported this need using the Lumina Spark Portrait and a two-day business event.

Lumina Learning brought all UniPartners boards together to “think outside the UniBox,” using interactive workshops on preferences, perceptions, colours, and the power of paradox to improve self-awareness and teamwork. As a result, board members developed a better understanding of their own behaviour and that of others, individual development plans were implemented over 12 months, and consultants became better at connecting with clients; this helped UniPartners win more consulting engagements over the following year.
