Case Study: UWE Bristol enhances student learning and self-development with Lumina Spark

Demonstrating a modern, inclusive and tech-able personality tool used across industry

UWE Bristol partnered with Lumina Learning to support student learning and self-development across its psychology programmes. The university wanted a practical way to help MSc Occupational Psychology and BSc Psychology students understand psychometric theory, evaluate personality assessment methods, and reflect on their own strengths and development areas.

Lumina Learning implemented Lumina Spark, using full feedback reports for MSc students and bespoke development reports for the larger BSc cohort. The tool helped students build awareness of communication, teamwork, and leadership skills, and 95% of MSc respondents said it supported their learning; students and lecturers also praised the clear visuals, interactive app, and usefulness of the assessment as a modern example of psychometric practice.
