Ashford and St Peter’s Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, a large NHS provider in Surrey, wanted to strengthen senior leaders’ resilience and self-awareness as strategic priorities shifted, while also helping the Board recruit a more balanced, high-performing leadership team. Lumina Learning supported the Trust with Lumina Spark to address leadership development, feedback, and recruitment challenges across the Board and senior roles.

Lumina Learning delivered board development sessions, 1:1 coaching for all 18 Board members, transformation and associate director workshops, recruitment portraits, onboarding support, and Spark qualification for HR, L&D, and recruitment teams. The Trust reported improved Board performance, a shared “safe” language for feedback, stronger identification of development needs, better value-based recruitment, and more effective onboarding, with Lumina Learning’s approach embedded into appraisals and personal development plans.
