How Lumin Digital Helped Consumers Credit Union

Consumers Credit Union, based in Kalamazoo, Michigan, needed a modern digital banking experience for retail and mobile members, including stronger mobile functionality, better credit card access, and improved security and uptime. In fall 2019, the credit union converted to Lumin Digital’s cloud-based platform to address these digital banking pain points and support continued growth.

With Lumin Digital, Consumers Credit Union added features like savings goals, integrated PSCU credit card access, card controls, and alerts, while also improving fraud prevention through ThreatMetrix at login. The results included a 12.5% increase in active mobile banking users, about 4,500 additional members, 100% automation of balance transfers, roughly 100 hours saved per 1,000 transfers, and about 10 hours saved each month on travel notices. Lumin Digital also delivered fast performance during peak traffic, with logins remaining under one second.
