University of Illinois Community Credit Union (UICCU), a $650 million community financial institution serving members across Central Illinois, wanted to move beyond basic online banking and become a true digital-first provider. Lumin Digital helped UICCU transform both its technology and internal culture, including launching a dedicated digital department, improving staff training, and creating a consistent experience across desktop, tablet, and mobile. The results were strong: 42% of online checking openings were completed through Lumin Digital Open Shares in the first year, mobile check deposits rose 57% within six months, mobile logins reached 85%, app ratings improved from 3.0 to 4.8, and online checking account openings increased 38% while exceeding the new checking goal by more than 20%.
