The Co-op engages 4.6 million members with Lumi

Lumi provided a solution for The Co-op, the UK's largest consumer co-operative, when a governance change made over two million members eligible to vote at its AGM. The co-op needed a sophisticated digital voting system capable of handling its complex voting procedures and the substantial increase in participant volume.

Lumi's solution involved on-site registration and in-room voting using IML Connector keypads with smartcards to manage weighted votes. This ensured a smooth meeting and began a long-term partnership. Later, Lumi introduced a branded event app to make meetings paperless, increase engagement, and provide valuable analytics. The Co-op's Democratic Project Manager praised Lumi's flexible, can-do approach in successfully adapting to their complex processes.
