MTN Group, the leading telecoms company in Africa and the Middle East, operates in 22 countries with around 250 million customers and 22,000 staff. To support its annual leadership gathering in Johannesburg, the company needed a better way to bring the views of employees across its wide region into strategic discussions. MTN chose Lumi Say to help capture staff sentiment and show that everyone’s opinion matters.
Lumi provided MTN with the Speak-Up app, using polls, rankings, and voice-clipped qualitative questions to gather input from thousands of employees before the event. During the two-day leadership gathering, Lumi Show was used for live voting, questions, comments, and logistics updates, helping leaders stay engaged and informed. MTN said the data gave its leaders important context for future decisions and extended the reach of the meeting beyond the 250-member leadership team.
