A Lumi Case Study
The Institute of Translation and Interpreting, the UK-based independent professional membership association for translators, interpreters and language services businesses, was seeing declining attendance at its AGM. With many members based outside the UK and concerns about reaching quorum, it needed a better way to engage members in governance. It worked with Lumi to move toward a virtual AGM.
Lumi supported ITI through the preparations, including meeting instructions, a detailed script, and engineer support on the day. The electronic AGM increased attendance by 200% and received very positive feedback, while ITI said the format improved member involvement and gave it confidence to continue refining future meetings with features such as live streaming, slide presentation, and online pre-voting.
