Deutsche Post World Net, the world’s leading logistics group with €60bn in 2006 sales and 424,000 employees, ran a group-wide personnel development program called “motiv8.” The program’s paper-based rating and target-agreement process created heavy administrative overhead and slow, error-prone monitoring, making it difficult to run timely, consistent performance reviews across the organisation.
The group launched “motiv8 web,” a Lumesse Talent Management–based, web self-service solution that automates workflows, notifications and SAP master-data transfer while preserving face-to-face appraisal meetings. The rollout (3,000 users and 600 raters initially) delivered faster, higher-quality evaluations, real-time process monitoring, lower HR administrative costs and multilingual support for broader group adoption.
