A More Agile Approach to Learning is Accelerating Organisational Change

COWI, a leading international consulting firm in engineering, environmental science and economics, launched a Financial Focus change project to sharpen planning, resource use and profitability across a complex, competitive global business. To make the change stick it needed a flexible, role-based learning approach that could reach employees where they work and fit into busy schedules.

The solution combined seven role-based training paths for 2,400 employees with a 50/50 mix of e‑learning and in-person workshops delivered via the Lumesse Learning Gateway (13 new online modules and 31 workshops). This approach cut delivery costs, made learning more accessible, provided ongoing reference materials and—by delivering half the training online—COWI estimates it doubled training effectiveness, supported the change program and helped improve bottom-line results.
