Antwerp Fire Brigade LumApps Intranet makes the spark fly

Antwerp Fire Brigade faced an outdated, underused intranet and internal segregation between administrative and operational staff. Seeking a dynamic, personalized platform on top of Google Workspace for both static information and social interaction, they selected LumApps to rebuild their intranet and re-engage employees.

Using LumApps (branded as the new intranet “Vonk”) and working with implementation partner g-company, the team delivered a Google-integrated solution that maps access rights to Google Groups, surfaces role-based content, and adds a custom design layer. The result: targeted pages and communities that connect staff who previously had little contact, faster access to relevant information, and ongoing measurement of engagement with Hotjar and Google Analytics to guide a second-phase rollout.
