Rituals unveils 4-advent-calendar campaign with Lukkien

The beauty and wellness brand Rituals once again partnered with creative agency Lukkien to produce the highly anticipated assets for its 2023 Advent Calendar. The challenge was to craft enchanting and memorable key visuals and a film that could be seamlessly adapted for four different calendar versions and a multitude of cropping options, all while maintaining a consistent and magical holiday feeling.

Lukkien's solution combined lifestyle photography with extensive CGI. The team shot the base environment at a real location and used 3D modeling and animation to add the calendars and products digitally. For the film, they built a comprehensive shot library to allow for dynamic versioning. The result was a cohesive campaign featuring a central character, Raymond, which captured the warmth and excitement of the holiday season and successfully built upon the success of the previous year's collaboration.
