Yoder Lumber, a third-generation family-owned hardwood manufacturer, needed to keep up with rising customer expectations for faster delivery and more customized products while improving internal efficiency and employee understanding of changing processes. The company turned to Lucid Software’s Lucidchart to help implement Lean Six Sigma and better visualize its manufacturing workflows.

With Lucid Software’s Lucidchart, Yoder Lumber created process flow diagrams to map current operations, identify bottlenecks and waste, and refine processes collaboratively in real time. The diagrams also helped leadership communicate changes to employees and build buy-in, while decision trees were created for workplace safety procedures; as a result, Yoder Lumber improved process clarity, streamlined operations, and reduced lead times from two to three weeks to just a few days in some cases.
