Conservation Colorado Eliminates Employees' Top Complaint

Conservation Colorado, a climate and advocacy nonprofit, was struggling with a persistent employee complaint: too much time wasted in unproductive meetings. As the organization grew and leadership changed, meeting volume and length increased, creating frustration for staff and conflicting with inclusion goals. They turned to Lucid Meetings and its Successful Meetings Quickstart program to address the issue.

Lucid Meetings ran a three-month improvement program that combined an onsite workshop, baseline meeting data, online training, anonymous meeting observations, and biweekly coaching calls. The result was a stronger set of meeting agreements, better meeting flow models for onboarding and cross-functional work, and more productive internal and external meetings. Conservation Colorado reported that the program was “work-changing,” with improved clarity, participation, and meeting effectiveness across teams.
