Helzberg Diamonds, a 230‑store retail jewelry chain headquartered in Kansas City, needed a single integrated store‑lifecycle solution to replace a legacy lease system and dozens of spreadsheet- and paper‑based processes, support expected FASB 13 changes, keep all related data and documents in one place, and reduce costly errors and overpayments. Lucernex implemented the full Lucernex Retail platform (Contracts/Lease Administration & Accounting, Markets & Sites, Projects, Facilities, Capital Projects, Data Integrator and Web Spreadsheets), completed a full data conversion, and built nine integrations into Helzberg’s financial systems. The deployment consolidated all real estate data and documents into one system, eliminated their legacy REM system and dozens of homemade Excel/paper tools, went live and began paying rent in under five months, finished full rollout by month seven, and was completed on time and under budget—while ensuring ongoing support for FASB 13.
