The results were dramatic, including the ability to pick up to 40 orders at a time, a 66% improvement in the error rate, and a reduction in needed labor by half. The solution also had a significant sustainability impact, cutting paper usage from 35 cases per week to nearly zero, saving an estimated 910 trees yearly. Lucas Systems enabled Poole Bay to handle a massive surge in orders during the pandemic while improving accuracy and operational visibility.
