Synops - Customer Case Study

Synops, a publisher of knowledge-focused books and digital content, wanted to connect its printed books with augmented reality experiences for titles about the Chauvet-Pont d’Arc and Lascaux caves. Working with LTU, it needed an easy way to bridge physical pages with multimedia content, improve discovery, simplify book management, and build audience loyalty through a more innovative reading experience.

LTU implemented visual recognition on the book pages through its LinkMe SaaS platform and delivered a white-label mobile app for iOS and Android, enabling access to 3D models, articles, virtual tours, videos, and other digital content. The result was over 20,000 flashes per year, more than 2,000 unique users, and an average of 8 clicks per user per session, while Synops gained better reader-behavior insights, stronger traffic to its content, and increased customer engagement.
