A LTU Case Study
Humensis, through its Belin Éducation publishing brand, wanted to make textbooks more interactive and useful for students and teachers. As a major education publisher facing new learning habits like home schooling and reverse schooling, it needed a way to enrich printed books with digital content and improve the learning experience. LTU helped address this challenge with its image recognition technology and SaaS platform.
LTU integrated its image recognition API into the FlashBelin mobile app, using an SDK that lets students scan textbook pages and instantly access multimedia content such as videos, audio files, quizzes, and news articles. The solution, available on iOS and Android, also enabled data collection to help optimize learning paths. It delivered more than 250,000 unique users, over 1 million scans, and more than 18,000 connected pages, giving Humensis a connected textbook experience that is easy to update in real time.
