TelevisaUnivision partners with LTN to bring live sports events to 600M global fans

TelevisaUnivision, owner of the ViX streaming service, needed to scale culturally tailored Spanish‑language live sports for diverse Hispanic audiences but lacked the technology to manage, version, and deliver thousands of concurrent events cost‑effectively. To launch a digital‑first sports offering and serve millions of viewers with multiple language tracks, customized graphics, and targeted ad insertion, TelevisaUnivision selected LTN Global and its production and transport technologies, including LTN Arc and Live Video Cloud.

LTN Global implemented an automation‑driven solution using the LTN Network, Live Video Cloud ingest, and LTN Arc managed production services to acquire, normalize, brand, version, monetize, and deliver large volumes of live sports with ultra‑low latency (<200 ms) and 99.999% reliability. The partnership enabled up to 20 concurrent live streams, support for thousands of events (bringing ViX to over 7,000 hours of live content per year), reduced CapEx through an OpEx managed model, and improved audience engagement and retention across ViX’s free and premium tiers.
