Case Study: World Surf League achieves reliable, low-latency HD live transmission from remote events with LTN Global’s LEAF Flypack

A LTN Global Case Study

Preview of the World Surf League Case Study

How the World Surf League is leveraging the LTN Leaf Flypack to deliver extremely high-quality and low-latency broadcasts from anywhere on the planet

The World Surf League, which produces live events in remote and challenging coastal locations, needed a more reliable and cost‑effective way to transport high‑engagement broadcast and streaming video to partners. To address this, the WSL partnered with LTN Global, deploying the LTN LEAF Flypack and LTN’s fully managed MPEG transport stream network for dependable IP video transport from anywhere.

LTN Global provided a compact Flypack solution that fits in a single pelican case, integrates into the WSL production kit, and takes about five minutes to set up, delivering high‑quality HD and low‑latency feeds to broadcast partners, WSL’s Santa Monica HQ and OTT vendors. The result was consistent, low‑latency delivery, reduced operational complexity and costs, added redundancy with a second Flypack, and an ongoing multi‑season partnership with LTN Global.
