ESL reaches 62 million sessions with LTN Live Video Cloud

ESL, the world's largest esports company, faced the challenge of distributing live video from its global events to millions of viewers across platforms like Twitch and YouTube, while overcoming on-site bandwidth limitations in various regions. To achieve their goal of making esports as ubiquitous as traditional sports, they partnered with LTN Global and utilized LTN Live Video Cloud (LVC) for a more efficient distribution workflow.

The solution involved ingesting broadcast signals once into LTN's cloud infrastructure, where LTN Live Video Cloud then routed and transcoded them for multiple destinations. This provided the flexibility to easily manage live events and deliver clean feeds to sub-production houses. As a result, during ESL One Cologne 2017, viewership reached over 62 million sessions and 13 million hours of consumed content. LTN enabled ESL to overcome bandwidth constraints and cost-effectively scale its distribution to a global audience.
