ESL Katowice 2019 Reaching over 232 million esports fans via 70+ live destinations

ESL, the world’s largest esports company, ran its flagship Katowice 2019 tournaments in Poland with six events over ten days and live audiences of 174,000, facing the challenge of extending global reach, monetizing owned content, and serving decentralized teams and highly diversified digital platforms. To meet these demands ESL partnered with LTN Global and used the LTN Live Video Cloud to distribute dozens of live feeds to broadcasters, social platforms and local production houses.

LTN Global’s Live Video Cloud ingested ESL’s onsite program and clean feeds, routed and transcoded signals on AWS, and delivered to 70+ destinations (Twitch, YouTube, Facebook, Twitter and regional partners) while enabling localization and automated ad workflows. The solution produced record-breaking results — 232 million unique viewers, 157 million hours watched across the event, and IEM CS:GO alone delivering 126 million hours and nearly 195 million viewers (avg. 860,000 concurrent, peak day 1,330,000) — while improving flexibility, monetization and global distribution efficiency.
