Fleet Monitoring Implementation for Sweden-Based Leading Manufacturer of Commercial Vehicles

The Leading Heavy Vehicle Manufacturing Company, a Sweden-based maker of heavy trucks, buses, and engines, needed a new Vehicle-as-a-Service model to turn vehicle data into actionable insights, improve uptime, and reduce Vehicle on Road (VOR). It engaged LTIMindtree to build a fleet monitoring and consultant assignment follow-up solution, using AWS-based services to better manage fleet operations and service delivery.

LTIMindtree implemented an IoT and microservices-based, serverless AWS solution that integrated fleet data with dealer management and third-party systems, with automated deployment and notifications. The result was global monitoring of 170K connected vehicles, 0.5Mn exceptions and diagnostic events processed daily, 60K vehicle actions managed, and an 80% reduction in downtime.
