Leading Taxation Authority, an APAC-based tax agency, needed to detect tax avoidance, expand the tax base, improve compliance, and streamline services for millions of taxpayers and officers while managing huge volumes of records, transactions, and documents. It partnered with LTIMindtree to modernize its data and digital capabilities, including portals, mobile access, analytics-driven scrutiny, and campaign management.

LTIMindtree implemented advanced analytics, Semantic Web, GIS, machine learning, and workflow automation to optimize case selection, improve taxpayer profiling, detect duplicates and risk patterns, and enable e-verification and faceless assessments. The results included a 10% year-over-year increase in the tax base, a 50% reduction in turnaround time, a 53% increase in non-filer cases identified, and a 71% reduction in the number of cases identified.
