Transa Backpacking AG is the leading travel, cycling and outdoors retailer in German-speaking Switzerland, operating six city stores plus an online shop since 1977. To maintain its high-service promise—detailed product information, expert in-store advice and the ability for any branch to sell the company’s full range—Transa needed a modern, more flexible IT platform to improve data quality, streamline logistics and enable seamless stock transfers between stores and to customers.
Working with LS Retail and partner Acommit, Transa upgraded its long-running Dynamics NAV/LS Nav environment to a cloud-hosted solution on Microsoft Azure and adopted Office 365. The move enabled direct item-data entry in LS Nav, faster POS handling of sales, exchanges and repairs, an integrated loyalty program, and smoother warehouse-to-store logistics—resulting in better data, improved collaboration, higher sales and a stronger foundation for future growth.
