The Foundling Museum - Customer Case Study

The Foundling Museum, a London charity that preserves the history of the Foundling Hospital and runs exhibitions and events, was hampered by outdated systems and time-consuming manual processes when Finance Director Nigel Cudlipp arrived in 2013. Staff were spending too much time on basic transactional and reconciliatory tasks, and the museum needed a solution capable of handling restricted funds accounting while freeing teams to focus on visitors and programs.

The museum implemented LS One as its POS and Microsoft Dynamics NAV as its ERP, and partnered with The NAV People to resolve initial integration and support issues. The unified front- and back-office system eliminated paper receipts and manual stock-tallies, automated finance workflows, provided real-time inventory and forecasting, and let the museum operate with a smaller team—improving productivity, operational efficiency and decision-making across the organisation.
