A LS Retail Case Study
Symington Family Estates, founded in 1882 in Portugal’s Douro Valley, is a leading producer of premium Ports and owns 27 vineyards and well-known brands such as Graham’s and Dow’s. As the business expanded its retail footprint and sales volume, Symington faced fragmented store systems and limited back-office integration: non-uniform master data, poor inventory visibility, cumbersome appointment scheduling, and only weekly data syncing made centralized pricing, inventory control and timely decision-making impractical.
Partnering with Arquiconsult, Symington implemented LS Nav—first in a few stores and then companywide—to unify POS and back-office operations. LS Nav delivered instant data replication, centralized master data and pricing, live inventory checks, EFT and barcode handling, and POS-based booking and membership management. The solution automated bookings, inventory and commission processes, improved operational efficiency and customer service, enabled real-time management across locations, and helped boost profitability.
