Rama Medicare Ltd., founded in 2007, operates a growing chain of pharmacy and health stores (25 locations across Delhi NCR and Kanpur) and was preparing to expand further. Early operations relied on local billing software and one warehouse, which led to inventory control problems—mismatched batch/lot/expiry data, false stock forecasts, and pilferage—plus difficulties with promotions, CRM and financial reconciliation. The company needed a centralized, pharmacy-specific solution that could be customized quickly and reliably.
Rama implemented Microsoft Dynamics NAV and LS Nav with DVS and RCS Global, introducing centralized warehousing, MRNs and barcodes that map lot/expiry/MRP, FIFO valuation, MBQ-driven purchasing and automated inter-store transfers, POS streamlining and wireless audit scanning. The rollout delivered faster, three-click billing, centralized reporting, improved forecast accuracy, easier financial and inventory management, clearer pilferage tracing, lower total cost of ownership and reduced manpower needs—enabling Rama Medicare to maintain international standards and expand geographically.
