A LS Retail Case Study
Pennywise Cosmetics, founded in 1984, is the market leader in health and beauty in Trinidad and Tobago with eight stores. Rapid transaction growth around 2011–2012 exposed weaknesses after their original retail vendor went out of business, so Pennywise engaged local Microsoft/LS Retail partner Davyn to find a reliable, integrated retail platform.
Davyn implemented LS Nav (Microsoft Dynamics NAV) across all eight stores in four months, delivering a low‑bandwidth, centrally managed system. Results included faster transactions (about 14 seconds for a single item to 1:10 for 10 items), 20 in‑store price checkers, and the later addition of LS Pharmacy in three stores with barcode prescription workflows—improving customer service, operational control, and allowing local customization and support.
