A LS Retail Case Study
Landgard is a 100‑year‑old German cooperative of more than 1,700 growers and retailers of potted plants, cut flowers, fruit and vegetables, operating stores in seven central and southern European countries and generating over €1.83 billion in turnover. When Austria introduced new 2017 fiscal laws, Landgard’s long‑standing home‑grown AS/400 POS could not be easily adapted to meet the new receipt and reporting requirements, so the company engaged LS Retail partner Poresy to find a compliant solution for its Vienna Cash & Carry.
Poresy implemented an architecture that kept AS/400 as the front‑end POS but routed transaction data to LS One, which generates and prints the fiscal receipts; a simple journal workflow in LS One pulls orders by customer or order ID, and EFSTA middleware creates the legally required unique barcode for each receipt. This approach avoided costly redevelopment of the AS/400 system, delivering a compliant, fast and cost‑effective outcome.
