Focus Point, a leading Malaysian eyewear retailer with over 180 stores across Malaysia and Brunei, faced fragmented systems—stores used a DOS-based POS while head office ran separate accounting software—leading to slow, error-prone month-end reporting, siloed sales and inventory data, and limited visibility for timely decision-making and expansion.
Between 2011–2013 Focus Point deployed LS Retail on Microsoft Dynamics NAV (via partner CyanSYS) to create a single SQL Server–based database linking POS, merchandising, warehousing and finance. The integrated platform cut report compilation effort by 60% (reducing staff needs), delivers up-to-date sales and inventory data, speeds store rollouts to one day, and has improved margins, cash flow, inventory control and overall competitiveness.
