English Heritage, which runs more than 100 staffed historic sites, needed to modernize its retail and back-office systems to reduce manual processes and free up staff to focus on visitors. The organisation required an integrated solution covering admissions and ticketing, membership transactions, on-site shops and cafés, and event promotion, while gaining better visibility of stock and customer behaviour across its estate.

K3 Retail and LS Retail implemented Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2013 with Merac EPoS to provide end-to-end front‑to‑back functionality. The new system adds forecasting, stock management and auto‑replenishment, faster admissions, improved online shopping, and catering tools for menu planning and recipe costing — resulting in better product availability, fewer write-offs and over‑stocks, higher inventory ROI, deeper customer insight and a flexible platform for future growth.
