DFDS, a 150‑year‑old specialist in European cruises and ferry crossings, operates passenger services on 18 vessels and serves more than 6 million passengers a year. Facing fragmented on‑board retail and hospitality systems, DFDS needed a single point‑of‑sale platform that would integrate seamlessly with its booking system and be usable by 600 crew members across all ships.
DFDS selected LS Retail in 2018 to provide a unified POS with mobile POS and inventory capabilities, enabling central management of shops and foodservice across the fleet. The implementation automated many manual processes, saving time and money daily and supporting DFDS’s ongoing digital strategy.
