Case Study: Bristol Group achieves real-time inventory visibility and improved reporting with LS Retail

A LS Retail Case Study

Preview of the Bristol Group Case Study

Bristol Group implements Microsoft Dynamics NAV-based retail system for improved access to information and better insights into inventory

Bristol Group Ltd., a Bahamas-based importer, distributor and retailer of spirits, wine, tobacco and beverages with about 150 employees and 17 retail stores, struggled with an aging, heavily customized retail system that limited reporting, inventory visibility (only tracked by case) and the ability to measure promotion effectiveness. Management needed a flexible, scalable solution to capture more data, generate better reports, closely monitor inventory by unit and track sales-promotional results.

Bristol engaged Tectura to implement a Microsoft Dynamics NAV–based retail system with LS Nav running on a distributed Microsoft SQL Server environment, synchronizing each store and warehouse with headquarters. After training 50–70 users, the company gained near real-time sales and inventory visibility, unit-level inventory tracking, robust promotion reporting and far greater reporting capacity (from a few reports a month to multiple reports per day), positioning Bristol to automate replenishment, mobile sales and other future initiatives.
