ATVR, the State Alcohol and Tobacco Company of Iceland, operates 47 liquor stores with 638 staff and returns roughly 1.3 billion ISK annually to the treasury. The retailer needed a scalable, secure system to handle high traffic and age-restricted sales, maintain accurate inventory and central/local pricing control, and deliver fast, reliable transactions during peak periods.

ATVR implemented LS Nav on Microsoft Dynamics NAV—an integrated POS, back office and head office solution—plus an Inventory Optimiser for forecasting and automated purchase orders. The system manages ~2,300 active items from 200 vendors with full stock visibility across 47 stores, speeding checkouts and strengthening security while reducing manual work and overall stock levels and improving service and reporting.
