A LS Retail Case Study
A.S. Roma, a historic European football club with some 87 million fans worldwide, underwent major restructuring after new ownership in 2011 and needed an ERP that could support a diverse business—team operations, TV and radio channels, e‑commerce, three city stores, temporary stadium shops and mobile "Ape" vans—while handling complex finances (including player contracts) and meeting stock‑exchange reporting requirements. Key goals were to standardize sales processes, build a structured back office, enable campaign and pricing flexibility and mobility, and minimize implementation time, cost and risk given a very small IT team.
Working with local LS Retail partner Gesca, the club implemented a two‑phase rollout: finance first, then LS Nav across head office, back office and front‑of‑house, using the standard LS Retail solution without customization. LS Nav now manages products, pricing, offers, inventory, replenishment and POS (including mobile POS for Ape vans and temporary stadium stores), resulting in streamlined merchandising and financial processes, quicker, lower‑risk deployment, improved mobility and increased sales and brand visibility—especially among tourists.
