KONE removes 270 Windows print servers with LRS Output Management

KONE, a global leader in escalator and elevator manufacturing, faced challenges with its complex IT print infrastructure. It relied on HP Output Server, which was costly to maintain and viewed as outdated, and struggled with inflexible SAP forms like SAPScript and SmartForms. As its contract with HP was ending, KONE sought a new solution to streamline output management and simplify its environment.

LRS Output Management implemented its VPSX solution suite, including VPSX Enterprise and Output Manager, to replace HP Output Server. The solution centralized SAP and Windows print management, enabled direct IP printing, and transformed existing SAP forms. This allowed KONE to eliminate 270 Windows print servers, saving an estimated €1,215,000 annually, while providing robust, centralized control over its global printing workflows.
