UKCloud becomes LRQA’s first ISO 27018:2014 verification customer with 160+ staff

UKCloud, a provider of cloud solutions for the UK public sector, faced rising concerns about information security breaches and needed to assure customers of the safety of personally identifiable information (PII) in its cloud services. To continue leading in information security, the company engaged vendor LRQA to help achieve a statement of verification for the ISO 27018:2014 standard, a code of practice for protecting personal data in the cloud.

LRQA applied its experience and methodology to guide UKCloud, emphasizing employee training and management support. As a result, UKCloud became the first company to achieve an LRQA statement of verification for ISO 27018:2014. This provided added confidence to their public sector customers and reinforced their robust security posture within an established risk management framework.
