Château Troplong Mondot earns Silver Member certification with LRQA after 2022 carbon footprint verification

Château Troplong Mondot, a Premier Grand Cru Classé wine estate, needed to assure the accuracy of its carbon footprint tool and obtain third-party verification of its carbon footprint calculation to demonstrate its environmental commitment. The challenge involved efficiently collecting and analyzing a large amount of data for scrutiny by an expert.

LRQA audited and validated the estate's carbon footprint tool and its resulting calculation. This verification provided assurance of an accurate tool, increased the team's skills, and resulted in a certified carbon footprint compliant with the reference standard. As a direct result of LRQA's service, Château Troplong Mondot obtained Silver Member certification from the International Wineries for Climate Action (IWCA).
