A Lowry Solutions Case Study
OSHA needed to update hazardous chemical labeling to comply with the revised Hazard Communication Standard and align with the UN Globally Harmonized System (GHS). To meet the new requirements, OSHA had to ensure labels included pictograms, signal words, hazard and precautionary statements, product identifiers, and supplier information, while also meeting durability and compliance standards.
Lowry Solutions provided GHS labeling solutions, including label design software, approved label workflows, and on-demand thermal transfer, inkjet, or laser printing with compliant materials and pre-printed label options. The solution helped support a smoother transition to GHS-compliant labeling and reduced the risk of non-compliance; OSHA’s updated standard was expected to cover over 43 million workers across more than five million workplaces, helping prevent more than 500 injuries and illnesses and 43 fatalities annually.
